About The Position

We’re seeking a highly organized, detail‑oriented Office Manager to support our operations across three Alaska districts: Kenai, Homer, and Seward. This role is critical to our Borough contract, and we need someone who can become our in‑house contract expert—the go‑to person for questions, compliance, documentation, and coordination with Borough partners. This position sits on‑site in our Kenai office and plays a central role in keeping our teams aligned, informed, and running efficiently.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of office administration and customer service experience
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and modern office systems
  • Basic understanding of accounting, payroll, and office operations
  • Excellent communication skills—clear, friendly, and professional
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and calm
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset and analytical skills
  • Experience with inventory control and supply management is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead day‑to‑day office operations and provide guidance to office staff.
  • Oversee administrative workflows, assist with issue resolution, and ensure smooth coordination across all three districts.
  • Manage payroll, PTO, reimbursements, hiring paperwork, and personnel files.
  • Serve as the point person for Borough contract requirements, deliverables, and communications.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of contract terms, reporting obligations, timelines, and compliance details.
  • Support the District Manager in executing Borough‑related tasks, documentation, and community interactions.
  • Review monthly financials and assist with annual budget planning.
  • Maintain inventory and office supply tracking systems.
  • Become proficient in WCN software and operational platforms.
  • Prepare internal reports and presentations.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, travel, events, and community engagement activities.
  • Provide executive-level support to the District Manager for special projects.
  • Professionally interface with customers, the Borough, community groups, and County staff.
  • Support solid‑waste education initiatives, including preparing updated outreach materials.
  • Deliver presentations to small and large groups when needed.
