About The Position

Shimmick is seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Manager to support daily office operations in our Suisun City, CA office. The Office Manager is responsible for maintaining an efficient, clean, and well-supplied work environment while providing administrative and operational support to the team. This role ensures the office runs smoothly day-to-day by managing facilities coordination, vendor support, office supplies, and general administrative needs. At Shimmick, we are problem solvers. Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office, kitchen, bid room, and common areas throughout the day
  • Sanitize high-touch surfaces, including doorknobs, shared spaces, and common areas
  • Organize cords, clear tables, and ensure workspaces remain orderly
  • Restock office supplies, printer paper, coffee stations, and refrigerators
  • Monitor and maintain overall office readiness daily
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls
  • Check voicemail and distribute messages as needed
  • Sort, distribute, and manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Ship packages via FedEx or other carriers
  • Assist with miscellaneous documents and team requests
  • Assist Estimating Team as needed
  • Run miscellaneous office errands as needed
  • Coordinate and receive deliveries and vendor requests
  • Coordinate with maintenance vendors for office needs
  • Order office supplies, groceries, and kitchen items
  • Support lunch orders, meeting setup, and breakdown
  • Support onboarding activities for new hires
  • Set up phase codes and assist with internal administrative tasks
  • Deposit checks for Accounts Receivable and manage check scanner as needed
  • Maintain whiteboard areas and erase after documentation is captured
  • Provide seasonal office support, including holiday decorations
  • Assist with special projects and miscellaneous team needs as requested
