Purpose: To provide oversight to all administrative functions including payroll, personnel, accounts payable and receivable and consumer funds for the designated operation. Sunrise is one of the largest, private 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations in the country dedicated to serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Much of the organization’s early growth can be attributed to assisting state agencies with deinstitutionalization efforts, and in more recent years, Sunrise has welcomed smaller companies in need of assistance or support into the Sunrise Group. As a result, over the last 60 years Sunrise has increased the number of persons served from 50 people in just South Florida to over 1,400 across several states with over 2,500 exceptional employees.

Requirements

  • Must successfully complete the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License which meets company standards for approved driver status
  • Must possess advanced computer skills
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have two years management and financial experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Successfully oversees all daily operations of the local administrative office, monitoring tasks for accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Creates a positive collaborative working culture with all stakeholders
  • Provides constructive feedback to employees through positive interactions, role modeling, and mentoring
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of all documents pertaining to payroll, personnel, consumer funds, accounts payable and accounts receivable per the monthly financial calendar
  • Ensures that new employees have complete hire packets and background checks in compliance with all regulatory agencies and timeframes
  • Supports management staff as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned
