About The Position

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking an Office Manager for their nursing department. This full-time, entry-level position is ideal for individuals interested in the nursing field with experience in clerical and medical records. The role involves assisting the Director of Nursing in departmental functions, working alongside nursing, clinical, and medical records teams. Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Georgia, located in Kennesaw, Georgia, provides programs and services for children and adolescents with emotional, psychiatric, developmental, or neurological disorders, as well as adolescents and adults facing significant emotional, behavioral, and intellectual/developmental challenges. Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School diploma.
  • Two years administrative experience in the medical field
  • Be empathetic, a team player, energetic, creative, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement, and represent yourself as a positive role model
  • Have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with behavioral differences.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Services or Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders, and/or IDD disorders preferred
  • Medical billing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Director of Nursing as necessary in carrying out the functions of the department.
  • Schedule medical appointments and follow-ups
  • Coordinate paperwork for informed consent and other administrative nursing functions in coordination with the Director of Nursing.
