About The Position

The Office Engineer will support the client by assisting in the coordination, documentation, and execution of design and construction activities. This role works closely with the Project Manager and broader project team to ensure seamless information flow, document control, and alignment between design intent and field execution. This position plays a critical role in maintaining project organization, supporting technical processes, and facilitating communication across multiple stakeholders within an active operational environment.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
  • Experience with project management information systems (PMWeb preferred)
  • Ability to manage and manipulate digital documentation and file formats for reporting and presentations
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management or related field, preferably within active or operational environments (aviation experience a plus)
  • Strong understanding of design and construction processes, including project lifecycle from pre-construction through closeout
  • Familiarity with industry contracting practices and methodologies
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Ability to work onsite in a full-time capacity within an active project environment
  • Flexibility to support extended hours or weekend work as required by project demands
  • Must maintain required technology and connectivity to support project systems and communication

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., PMP, PE, LEED, AAAE, AICP) but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and daily reports.
  • Track and monitor contractor submittals to ensure timely review, approval, and distribution to design teams and stakeholders.
  • Prepare, process, and coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring timely resolution and communication across all parties.
  • Maintain and update RFI and submittal logs within project management systems (e.g., PMWeb).
  • Oversee document control processes, ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance with project standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, design teams, inspectors, and project managers to support clear and consistent communication.
  • Support construction meetings by preparing agendas, tracking action items, and documenting meeting minutes.
  • Assist field operations by coordinating with field engineers and superintendents to align documentation with construction activities.
  • Ensure proper filing, organization, and archiving of project records in accordance with client and program requirements.
  • Support the preparation of exhibits, reports, and presentation materials using various digital file formats.
  • Facilitate document distribution workflows, track review comments, and support resolution and approval processes.
  • Provide general project support, including expediting processes, maintaining logs, and supporting project delivery initiatives.
