About The Position

The Office Coordinator GCM position is a full-time, benefits-eligible role within the 37851 Carolinas Medical Center - Lifeshare: Organ department, working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. This role involves supervising the front office and performing Patient Care Coordinator activities, including staff management, auditing for accuracy, maintaining quality control, and managing daily, weekly, and monthly schedules. The coordinator also assists with interviewing new staff, coordinating cross-training, and providing coverage for certain positions. They will support the Practice Manager, covering non-clinical aspects, facility and equipment needs, patient satisfaction, and handling patient complaints during the manager's absence. Additional duties include verifying patient eligibility, establishing payment plans, purchasing office and medical supplies, filing insurance, and distributing refunds. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the front office.
  • Performs Patient Care Coordinator activities, including but not limited to: staff management; auditing for accuracy; maintaining quality control; maintaining daily, weekly, monthly schedules.
  • Interviews new or replacement staff, coordinates cross-training of staff and provides the coverage of certain positions.
  • Assists the Practice Manager or function in the role of Practice Manager during absences. This includes, but is not limited to: non-clinical coverage, facility and equipment needs, patient satisfaction, and patient complaints.
  • Verifies patient eligibility before treatment is rendered and establishes payment plan on outstanding balances.
  • Purchases office and medical supplies.
  • Files insurance.
  • Distributes refunds.
