Core Responsibilities: • Delivers essential office and administrative support to the Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS), specifically within the Long-Term Support Services Unit. • Complete accurate and timely classification data entry of Medicaid eligibility for individuals receiving Long Term Care (LTC) under MaineCare. • Answer routine telephone calls for OADS and quickly route callers to correct resources. • Create spreadsheets and perform data entry and management. • Organize, record, and maintain computerized and manual files. • Operate technical office materials and equipment according to set procedures. • Perform multiple office support functions related to business and other OADS operational needs. • Comply with confidentiality requirements and other security protocols. • Provide excellent customer service. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify for this position, you must have training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex, varied office support tasks, and 2) the ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Office Assistant I, Office Assistant II, and Office Associate I.
