About The Position

This is a key position within the commissioner’s office assisting with the exciting and diverse work associated with this large natural resource agency. The position will be responsible for advanced office duties including: Assisting various staff with large projects Ordering supplies Processing cash receipts Reception duties for the department which will include answering the phones, sorting and delivering mail and scheduling conference rooms Allowing entry to various buildings via phone Making copies and/or scans of various documents Creating and/or maintaining electronic files Processing paperwork generated by the Commissioner's office using Advantage and Docusign Handling department-wide CMP billing Sorting/Distributing Performance reviews Scheduling Commissioner’s Office Central fleet vehicle appointments Handling reporting and mileage logs Scheduling conference/hoteling space reservations Processing and filling Real Maine orders For questions specific to the position, please contact the Hiring Manager, Kathy Eastman, at: [email protected]

Requirements

  • Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex, varied office support tasks, and 2) the ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures.
  • All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Office Assistant I, Office Assistant II, and Office Associate I.

  • Handling department-wide CMP billing
  • Sorting/Distributing Performance reviews
  • Scheduling Commissioner’s Office Central fleet vehicle appointments
  • Handling reporting and mileage logs
  • Scheduling conference/hoteling space reservations
  • Processing and filling Real Maine orders
