About The Position

The Illinois Correctional Center is seeking a motivated, detailed-oriented Office Associate to add to our Records Office team at one of our facilities. The desired candidate will be organized, able to multi-task, and perform duties in a high functioning office. Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
  • Requires ability to type accurately at 45 words per minute.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
  • Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.
  • Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and keyboards records for individuals in custody that are scheduled to be paroled and/or discharged.
  • Prepares and maintains weekly release and discharge lists.
  • Records warrants issued and warrant withdrawals for parolees.
  • Copies Masterfile materials and distributes as appropriate.
  • Assists other Clinical Services staff in the performance of duties and serves as back up to other Office Associates.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
