The Digital Experience team at University of Utah Health is seeking Web Content Interns to support a major ADA web accessibility compliance project across our organization's websites. This is an excellent opportunity for students in computer science, software engineering, information systems, UX, digital communication, or related fields who want hands-on experience working in real web platforms and improving accessibility for thousands of users. Interns will primarily work in Drupal to update content and address accessibility requirements based on new ADA guidelines. Training is provided, and no previous accessibility experience is required, just an interest in learning and a willingness to be detail-oriented. This role is remote and highly flexible, except for a required one-hour weekly virtual project meeting during standard business hours. Outside of that meeting, interns are free to set their own schedules. Part-time (15-19 hrs/ week through April 2026 or completion of the project).

  • Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
  • Ability to shift between tasks and projects as priorities change
  • Attendance at a weekly, one-hour virtual Data Accessibility Project meeting
  • Reliable communication with project managers and teammates via MS Teams and email
  • Interest in learning new platforms, tools, and accessibility best practices
  • Comfortable performing meticulous, detail-heavy work

  • Experience with website content management systems, such as Drupal, WordPress or something similar
  • Experience in updating websites
  • Customer service experience
  • (Bonus but not required) Interest in web accessibility, front-end development, QA, or UX/UI
