About The Position

The practice offers various healthcare services, including gynecology and women’s health, immunizations, physical examinations, preventive medicine, and treatment for both acute and chronic conditions. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • The Medical Office Assistant I handles payments, verifies insurance coverage, coordinates referrals, and reconciles daily appointments and payments.
  • They manage communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and using EMR systems to coordinate with providers and staff.
  • The role includes updating patients, scheduling tests and appointments, maintaining medical records, resolving patient issues, supporting administrative tasks, and following safety protocols, with additional duties as needed.
