About The Position
ChristianaCare Primary Care at Linden Hill is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills. Primary Care at Linden Hill is in Wilmington, Delaware. Primary Care at Linden Hill provides comprehensive medical services for adults and children, including gynecology, women's health, vaccinations, physical examinations, preventive medicine, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED required
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
Responsibilities
- The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person
- Prepares them for visits
- Performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs)
- Assists with exams
- Maintains exam rooms and equipment
- Manages EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling
- Handling clerical duties
- Troubleshooting video visits
- Supporting patient portal access.
