About The Position

This position is responsible for: Directs clients efforts to secure available services; provides information and referrals to appropriate agencies for housing, food, employment, etc.; accepts and processes client’s staying in shelter overnight; monitors the activity of clients on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to shelter/Corps rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that shelter/Corps is maintained in a neat and proper order.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • One year experience performing security or social service work preferred; Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Process client intake and maintain accurate shelter records.
  • Monitor shelter residents to ensure safety, security, and compliance with rules.
  • Provide client referrals and coordinate access to community resources.
  • Maintain shelter facility cleanliness, order, and daily operations.
  • Respond to emergencies and complete required administrative documentation.
