About The Position

Stericycle is now part of WM. The Office Administrator provides administrative support to the Columbia, MD (Shred-it facility). Duties vary from accounting, payroll, customer service, and general office work. The role also acts as a backup to Billing Administrators and Customer Service Representatives. Requirements

  • High School Diploma (some college preferred) or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in administrative, demonstrating an excellent knowledge of computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple issues to resolve related to the upkeep and maintenance of the position
  • Demonstrates the ability to modify behavior, as needed, in order to maintain effectiveness in a changing situation; and with varying tasks, responsibilities, or people
  • Demonstrates the ability to persist with a specific course of action. Must be willing to commit the necessary time and effort to complete work assignments and do a quality job
  • Demonstrates the ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized and diplomatic manner; listen to others to respond effectively to ideas and questions
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify and understand customer needs; takes appropriate actions to ensure customer needs are met and proactively searches of ways to increase customer satisfaction

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Office Administration
  • Branch Emails
  • Closing Confirmations
  • Coordinating shipping of packages (FedEx parts, supplies, RFP's, etc.)
  • Re-schedule of missed service
  • Ordering supplies
  • Open and review mail
  • Vendor Management (setup, communication, local visits)
  • Equipment lists PROCESSING deliveries
  • Time and Attendance. Enters and audits weekly final payroll reports for departmental approval
  • Exception based billing Accounts (Half-Bag)
  • Reviews vendor invoices ensuring accuracy and completes all AP related functions. Ensures proper coding to correct location and GL account with department managers approval; batches & submits to Corporate A/P
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
