About The Position

Family office is seeking a full time Accountant to join their team in beautiful Santa Monica, CA! Primary responsibilities include ensuring the family office accounting is running smoothly at all times with primary responsibility for general ledger maintenance for various investments and family entities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, thrives in a team environment and enjoys handling all accounting activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar major
Prior accounting experience
Proven ability to adhere to highest level of confidentiality
Highly self-sufficient, proven ability to prioritize, well-organized and strong work ethic
Strong in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Responsibilities

Handle all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and maintenance of related documentation
Prepare periodic financial reports and statements
Record monthly cash activity
Prepare expense reports
Liaison between family and tax professionals to prepare tax filings for trusts and entities
Review tax returns, coordinate federal and state tax payments
Monitor cash flow, banking, prepare wire payments
Track costs for family owned real estate investments, coordinate contributions and distributions
Maintain records and filing
Assist with any other administrative responsibilities as needed
Work closely with owner, CFO, Accounting Manager and administrative staff
