POSITION SUMMARY The Off-Site Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of designated off-site properties, assets, and personnel. This role involves conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance systems, responding to incidents, and maintaining clear communication with on-site teams and management. The officer acts as a visible deterrent to unauthorized activities and helps enforce security policies and procedures at remote locations. The supervisor will evaluate security overseeing off the security staff and identifying education needs for off-site. This position requires Situational awareness and de-escalation techniques to calm patients/visitors and remove subjects when deemed necessary. Will support the hospital in striving to achieve strategic goals and being fiscally responsible.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years’ experience in private security or health care management experience or related field.
  • Alabama Driver’s License
  • BLS within 90 days of DOH/Transfer
  • CPI within 12 months of DOH/Transfer
  • IAHSS-Basic w/in 12 months of hire/transfer
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Critical Thinking skills
  • Computer/Technology skills (Microsoft word/excel)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Security Management Criminal Justice or related discipline
  • One (1) years’ experience in healthcare management
  • N/A
