POSITION SUMMARY Ensures the safety of staff, patients, and visitors, the supervisor is responsible for the operations and functions of the Security department. Work with new employees to ensure that their orientation to the security department is complete by reviewing the policies and procedures of the department. Overseeing completion of department training and competency validation of room locations, department locations, and stairwell locations, evaluating proficiency in point-to-point training. Provide leadership and supervision of the daily operation of the security department. collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures. Coordinates safety and security programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment. Evaluates the effectiveness of safety and security programs. Reviews current safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates. Schedule insuring shift coverage. Conducts performance evaluations for security staff that are timely and constructive. Performs other related duties as assigned. Takes calls for the Security Department

Requirements

High School diploma
1 year of related experience required
Drivers License
BLS within 90 days
CPI within 12 months of DOH/transfer
IAHSS-Basic w/in 12 months of hire/transfer
