About The Position

MGS, Incorporated is seeking a driven and customer-focused OEM Account Manager to join our Sales team. In this role, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for assigned OEM customers—building trusted relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and driving profitable sales. The Account Manager is a tactical sales role responsible for driving revenue growth exclusively through MGS’s existing customer base. Success is built on cultivating deep, trust-based partnerships, making this role the customer’s primary point of contact and essential advocate. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or business from an accredited college or university
  • Prior experience in OEM account management in manufacturing industry, preferred
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Effective presentation skills, able to clearly communicate with people at all levels of the organization and with customers/prospects, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (we use Epicor/Kinetic)
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Regional travel with occasional air travel

  • Prior experience in OEM account management in manufacturing industry, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with customers by providing excellent service and support.
  • In conjunction with the Division Manager and Business Development Manager, prospect, qualify and capture new customers and opportunities within your region.
  • Identify growth opportunities within current customers.
  • Maintain and build sales according to divisional strategies and goals.
  • Monitor and maintain gross margin percentage according to divisional goals.
  • Provide quotes in appropriate format as needed, in a timely fashion.
  • Lead and participate in multiple Project Management duties as directed.
  • Follow and support division strategies to achieve divisional goals.
  • Host and meet with customers regularly to ensure proper understanding of applications and opportunities along with the delivery of quotes and sales proposals, occasional travel is required.
  • Communicate and work effectively with OEM team, other MGS teams and external teams as needed.
  • Performs contract review and communicates with Sales Support to process purchase orders.
  • Review account receivable for past due invoices, address outstanding invoices with customer for resolution.
