About The Position

This will be a First shift position (Monday-Thursday 4AM-2:30PM). Essential Duties & Responsibilities: · Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectations. · Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand. · Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. · Coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments per daily and weekly productions schedules. · Work cross-functionally to communicate proactively with customer service and other relevant areas to ensure customer commitments align with production schedules, and any deviations are proactively shared with appropriate parties. · Maintains manufacturing quality, safety, output levels, and efficiency by supporting and enforcing organizational standards. · Responsible for training and assessment of personnel in accordance with set standards. · Must anticipate and troubleshoot problems, coordinate simultaneous plans, oversee scheduling, and develop solutions to workflow delays. · Seek ways to increase efficiency, throughput, and quality in the department. · Interface with support departments to ensure schedules and expectations are met. · Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and specifications. · Conduct inspections on products at all stages of the manufacturing process. o Document and report inspection findings and results in the BMS via Task entries. o Perform mechanical, dimensional and visual/cosmetic inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements. · Read and interpret specifications and Engineering prints. · Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required.

Requirements

  • An understanding of manufacturing goals and standard principles.
  • Knowledge of one or more relevant manufacturing processes preferred, including open-pour molding, injection molding, rotational molding, pleating, metal fabrication, tube bending, aluminum and steel MIG/TIG welding, powder coating, packaging, active production reports.
  • An understanding of general manufacturing practices and principles, including scheduling, efficiency metrics, time studies, quality systems, and lean manufacturing.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of K&N Business Management System (BMS).
  • Using Logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems.
  • Must be well organized with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple duties, prioritize, follow through on all tasks and projects, and meet pre-determined deadlines.
  • Must be able to adjust schedule and hours as needed to support departments.
  • Consistently portray a positive and professional image and set a positive tone to employees, customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers and in a 1-on-1 or team situations.
  • Must possess a strong attendance record.
