About The Position

Join a brand-new, state-of-the-art 90-bed acute care hospital in Gainesville, FL . This facility offers comprehensive emergency services, advanced surgical care, and a 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain independence, improve functionality, and enhance their quality of life through personalized, evidence-based therapy.

Requirements

• Experience: 1+ year preferred (new graduates considered)
• License: Active State Licensed Occupational Therapist (Required)
• Education: Vocational School Graduate (Required)
• Certification: BLS required within 30 days of start

Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Treatment Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Patient & Family Support Educate patients and families on therapy goals and recovery plans
• Promote patient independence and engagement throughout the rehabilitation process
• Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Support therapy assistants and students as needed
• Ensure continuity of care and smooth patient transitions
