Requirements

  • Minimum Education High School or equivalent required.
  • Requires: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Licenses: DATIA Certified Professional Collector, and Lifeloc Certified Breath Alcohol Technician or certified in twelve (12) months after hire date.
  • Minimum Work Experience Two (2) or more years’ experience in Drug testing or as a medical technician desired, knowledge of drug screening rules and regulations desirable.
  • Preferred knowledge of Occupation Health or related field
  • The Occupational Health Technician should have the ability to work with culturally diverse population.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Drug Screens both in clinic and on-site settings.
  • Perform Breath and Alcohol Test in clinic and on-site settings
  • Demonstrate competency in department specific technical skills
  • Maintain required certification
  • Prepare the patient for examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
  • Stock and Clean examination rooms.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population specific needs of the patients served.
