About The Position

Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) has locations in Othello and the Central District. Services at the clinics include pediatric medical care, behavioral health, dental services, nutrition, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and more. Since 1970, OBCC has worked to uphold the vision of community organizer Odessa Brown: to bring quality healthcare with dignity to children from birth to young adulthood in the Central District and south Seattle. The Program Manager III is responsible for management of a specific, highly complex program or group of highly complex programs in a specialty/functional area including scheduling and budgeting activities and works in collaboration with leaders to implement the program's objectives in support of identified goals and the continuous improvement process. Responsible for monitoring the program's effectiveness and mobilizing stakeholders in support of continuous improvement to the program. Leads interdepartmental activities ensuring ongoing effective program operation and/or implementation. Responsible for identifying strategic opportunities to enhance or expand the program, developing plans and presenting proposals to management. Manages the process of executing initiatives essential for the success of the program, including communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external. Oversees and leads teams in support of the program's objectives. This level has wide latitude for independent judgment and decision making in executing on the goals of the program. SERIES CONCEPT: Seattle Children’s is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager III to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for two critical pillars of our community mission: the Stanley Stamm Summer Camp and Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) community-facing initiatives. This role serves as a bridge between specialized clinical needs and community outreach, ensuring that children with serious illnesses and the families served by OBCC receive high-quality, equitable, and intentional programming.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Seven (7) years experience in a lead role overseeing program/project management.
  • Five (5) years experience working on quality and process improvement projects with cross-functional teams; including data collection, analysis and reporting.
  • Proven record of leading large project teams through project completion, program planning, execution and status reporting.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working with vendors, consultants and other purchased services.
  • Knowledge of Lean concepts and methods.
  • Experience representing program in management meetings with executive–level program stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Health Administration, business, or health care-related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Awareness of current and emerging trends in project management technologies, techniques, issues and approaches.
  • Experience working in public health, health care or social services.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Camp Management: Lead all aspects of the Stanley Stamm Summer Camp to ensure medically safe, high-quality, and compliant experience.
  • Clinical & Community Integration: Serve as the primary operational link between OBCC initiatives, the Stamm Camp operations, and leadership.
  • Strategic Outreach: Oversee culturally relevant OBCC community events and cultivate partnerships with local nonprofits and schools.
  • Philanthropic Leadership: Partner with the Foundation and Guilds to support connections and support between OBCC operations and our community.
  • Volunteer & Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of staff and volunteers, fostering an environment of accountability and growth.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead quality improvement projects and execute program goals independently, presenting high-level proposals to executive leadership.
