Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma.
  • Courses in medical terminology and office management preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds/walk and /or stand for 8 hour shits-bend or stoop/
  • Must be able to plan, prioritize, multi-task, organize and follow through while remaining highly energetic and focused.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Must communicate with patients/visitors in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
  • Must have ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to encourage patients/clients to achieve treatment plan goals.
  • Must adhere to local and state licensing laws and regulations.
  • Must be able to work flexible days and hours.
  • Well organized with attention to detail.
  • Empathetic with patients/ clients needs and concerns
  • Must follow all HIPPA and OSHA requirements.
  • Must be able to operate or have ability to be trained to operate related office equipment including but not limited to computer terminal, copier, fax, laser printer, and telephone system.

Responsibilities

  • Represent MMC to the patients/clients, employees, and guest in a courteous and professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient and accurate service...
  • Assists employees, develop, and implement short and long term work plans and objectives under the supervision of Office Manager.
  • Develop guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluation effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary along with the Office Manager.
  • Ensures that office is staffed appropriately.
  • Helps employees establish deadlines for work assignment and completion.
  • Monitors work status and progress then reports the progress to the Office Manager.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and discusses work problems with Office Manager.
  • Assists the Office Manager in creating and facilitating job descriptions and performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
  • Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
  • Order supplies in a timely manner.
  • Works with other administrative staff to ensure efforts are coordinated and high quality patient/client care is provided.
  • Seeks advice and supervision of physician when required on treatment protocols and notifies the physician/office manager of any patient noncompliance or adverse reactions.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Manager.
  • Oversees the absence requests and ensures the office is always properly staffed.
  • Oversees and approves office supply inventory.
  • Assists the Office Manager in submitting payroll and submitting payroll allocation
  • Assists the Office Manager in training all new employees
  • Ensures the office is opened and closed according to procedures.
  • Completes all required paperwork.
  • Plan and organize work load to maintain efficient patient/client operation in the department.
  • Perform all other duties as required or assigned
