About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled Nutritionist to evaluate patient needs, develop individualized nutritional care plans, and provide nutrition education and counseling that supports overall clinical treatment goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure as a Registered Dietitian required.
Current Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist credential required.
Current CPR certification required.
Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of nutritional care and counseling.
Strong ability to plan and deliver nutrition education programs for individuals and groups.
Ability to identify nutrition education needs and develop appropriate services and programs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, clinicians, and staff.
Ability to integrate nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy with patient medical goals.
Strong organizational, documentation, and clinical assessment skills.

Responsibilities

Provide individual nutritional counseling upon referral as part of the clinical treatment plan.
Conduct group nutritional counseling sessions for patients requiring ongoing support with specific nutritional concerns.
Develop and implement nutrition programs and services based on patient needs.
Serve as a consultant to clinical staff regarding the prevention and treatment of conditions with a nutritional component.
Support physicians and healthcare teams in the management of diabetic patients and other patients requiring medical nutrition therapy.
Evaluate, interpret, monitor, and document the nutritional status and needs of hospitalized patients and outpatients in accordance with established standards of care and practice guidelines.
Deliver age-specific and culturally responsive nutrition counseling to patients and their families.
Develop, review, update, and maintain print and non-print educational materials on nutritional topics for patients, students, and clinicians.
Provide in-service training and educational presentations for clinicians on nutrition-related topics as needed.
Function as an integral member of the interdisciplinary clinical team.
Maintain Registered Dietitian status, licensure, and continuing education requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
