About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled Nutritionist to evaluate patient needs, develop individualized nutritional care plans, and provide nutrition education and counseling that supports overall clinical treatment goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensure as a Registered Dietitian required.
  • Current Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist credential required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of nutritional care and counseling.
  • Strong ability to plan and deliver nutrition education programs for individuals and groups.
  • Ability to identify nutrition education needs and develop appropriate services and programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, clinicians, and staff.
  • Ability to integrate nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy with patient medical goals.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and clinical assessment skills.

  • Advanced degree in Nutrition preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual nutritional counseling upon referral as part of the clinical treatment plan.
  • Conduct group nutritional counseling sessions for patients requiring ongoing support with specific nutritional concerns.
  • Develop and implement nutrition programs and services based on patient needs.
  • Serve as a consultant to clinical staff regarding the prevention and treatment of conditions with a nutritional component.
  • Support physicians and healthcare teams in the management of diabetic patients and other patients requiring medical nutrition therapy.
  • Evaluate, interpret, monitor, and document the nutritional status and needs of hospitalized patients and outpatients in accordance with established standards of care and practice guidelines.
  • Deliver age-specific and culturally responsive nutrition counseling to patients and their families.
  • Develop, review, update, and maintain print and non-print educational materials on nutritional topics for patients, students, and clinicians.
  • Provide in-service training and educational presentations for clinicians on nutrition-related topics as needed.
  • Function as an integral member of the interdisciplinary clinical team.
  • Maintain Registered Dietitian status, licensure, and continuing education requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
