About The Position

Oasis Eating Disorders Recovery is a leading outpatient treatment center in Fresno, CA, offering compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals aged 16 and older struggling with eating disorders. Our multidisciplinary team provides personalized treatment plans through Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient Psychiatry programs. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment that promotes healing and long-term recovery. The Nutritionist at Oasis Eating Disorders Recovery Center provides comprehensive, evidence-based nutrition care to individuals in recovery from eating disorders. This role involves developing individualized nutrition care plans, facilitating group and individual nutrition sessions, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team to support sustained recovery. The Nutritionist also plays an active role in patient education, menu planning, and milieu support, while maintaining thorough documentation and adhering to professional and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Nutritional Science & Dietetics, Nutrition, Food and Nutritional Science, or related.
  • LICENSURE: Applicant must be accredited through the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • RELATED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one (1) years of experience as a Nutritionist.
  • SKILLS: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with family-based therapy, Maudsley Method, Intuitive Eating, PlateByPlate approach, and Health at Every Size (HAES).
  • Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and communities or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with equity and/or diversity initiatives within an organization.
  • Written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and use initiative to accomplish complex assignments with general instruction and guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and integrity on the job with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize time and other resources to perform multiple tasks.

  • Proficiency in word processing and database and/or spreadsheet applications.

  • Valid Driver's License / Clean Driving Record

Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment & Care Planning Conduct nutrition assessments and create individualized care plans, including meal planning, supplement recommendations, weight goals, and education topics.
  • Establish and adjust short- and long-term goals based on patient progress and clinical needs.
  • Direct Patient Care & Monitoring Lead bi-weekly follow-up sessions, family education meetings, and meal/snack supervision.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, including meal logs, behaviors, and weight trends.
  • Group Facilitation & Education Facilitate 3–5 weekly nutrition, body image, or mindful movement groups.
  • Develop and update educational materials and provide staff/patient training.
  • Program & Menu Management Plan weekly menus and coordinate catering with the Clinical Director.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork Participate in daily huddles, treatment team meetings, and clinical supervision.
  • Work closely with staff to support recovery goals.
  • Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate EMR documentation and meet all licensing, certification, and training requirements.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards.
  • Professional Development & Administration Engage in ongoing education and best practice integration.
  • Manage caseload, submit timesheets, and complete other duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
  • Follows and supports TPEG policies and procedures.
  • Works collaboratively and cooperatively with internal and external partners.

  • Travels occasionally during the workday and on occasional overnight stay. (Compensation for mileage, food and lodging provided.)
