About The Position

Nutrition Care Services The Nutritionist RD will: Identify patients at nutritional risk Assess assigned patients and completing accurate documentation Implement a nutritional care plan based on the assessment and needs of the patient Provide nutrition education to patients/family members Conduct community and/or patient education classes Advise Physicians and all related Medical Personnel in areas of nutrition Participate in Quality Assessments, i.e. completing chart reviews as assigned Assist with the development of in-service programs and updating Nutrition Care Manuel/patient education materials

Requirements

Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Verbal and written ability required to comprehend and document dietetic practices, principles and theories, as well as to communicate effectively with Medical Personnel and Health Care Team Members and patients.
Numerical ability required to compute dietetic values of food.
Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) Certification required or verification statement of completion of dietetic internship.

Nice To Haves

Experience with high-risk obstetric patients preferred.
