JOB TYPE Classification: Non Exempt Supervises Positions: JOB SUMMARY The House Supervisor will act as the in-house administrative representative and resource person for all patients, staff, staff physicians, and visitors.Patient Care:Works with team members to develop or improve processes to assure a remarkable patient experience. Creates and maintains a healthy work environment that results in improved patient outcomes, retention, and organizational excellence. Collaborates with physicians to develop or improve processes surrounding care of patients. Coordinates the provision of patient care through delegation, problem solving, time management and organizational skills. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate from an NLNAC accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred. Graduate degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required. Management experience preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Licensure: Current RN licensure in applicable state required. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Has knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to modify care and interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care according to patient’s age, health, and developmental status. Has demonstrated sound and effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, good interpersonal skills, and good intra and interdepartmental relationships. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A Competencies Quality: Works in partnership with leaders to create, support, and maintain a culture of professional accountability. Partners with family and patients to resolve concerns related to the delivery of health care. Assures that team members provide care that is consistent with The Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements. The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical Demand Code: Medium to Heavy Physical Demand: The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment. Requirements
