About The Position

The Nursing Supervisor manages and assumes shift responsibility and accountability for resident care on Skilled Nursing Floor (SNF) unit. Manages the unit in accordance with policy and procedure, State and Federal regulations to promote the highest quality of care and services.
Position: This is a Full-time evening (3:00pm to 11:00pm) position.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) year degree in nursing. BSN Preferred
• Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in acute, sub-acute or long-term care required. Minimum of 2 years Supervisory experience required.
• Must be able to perform the duties of this job with or without reasonable accommodation, including but not limited to: standing for up to 7 hours of 8 hours shift. Push, pull, tug, twist, bend stoop, and sit, on a regular basis. Occasionally lift up to 50-100 lbs. with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in long-term care facility with skilled beds preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures completion of the Admission Process for all new residents admitted during the shift.
• Assist with scheduling staffing as directed. Utilize staffing software-OnShift.
• Assumes responsibility to work as a cart nurse if shift is not covered due to absence.
• Assumes "on call" responsibilities every other week (Fri pm to Fri AM), during Director of Nursing time off or as delegated by Director of Nursing.
• Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for resident care on SNF unit. Manages the unit in accordance with policy and procedure, State and Federal regulations to promote the highest quality of care and service.
• Follows established standards of nursing practices and facility policies and procedures.
