Cleveland Clinic supports the growth, development and advancement of nurses through their career and as a Nursing Operations Manager, you will make a difference in the lives of both patients and caregivers at a leadership level. A caregiver in this role plays an important role in creating the best outcomes for our patients. Due to the smaller team and facility size, this caregiver occasionally performs nursing duties. This is a PRN position, with caregivers required to work a minimum of 48 hours in a six-week schedule. Caregivers enjoy the flexibility of choosing their own shifts and working 4, 8 or 12 hours per shift.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Three years of experience in an acute care setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

  • One year of management experience

Responsibilities

  • Identify and ensure appropriate placement, facilitation and expedition of all patient flow transactions, including direct and emergency patient admissions and transfers, in accordance with established clinical standards and knowledge of disease entities.
  • Address significant patient issues and staffing needs throughout the house and make modifications to ensure equitable staffing arrangements throughout the hospital.
  • Communicate changes with relevant leaders.
  • Manage the patient experience trans-organizationally to optimize all resources to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
