Nursing Assistant Surgical Inpatient PRN Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Nursing Assistant for its Surgical Inpatient Unit (SIPS). This is a PRN (Work as Needed) position for nights (7pm-7am). The Nursing Assistant will function as an on-shift team member under general supervision and according to established procedures, under the direction of the nurse. The SIPS unit is a 32-bed unit specializing in inpatient care for post-surgical patients. The unit handles a variety of surgical patients, including total joint replacements, bariatric surgeries, and higher acuity cases such as post-surgical vascular and thoracic patients. The unit also accepts post-operative admissions originating from areas such as the emergency room or a physician’s office.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required
- High school diploma/equivalent

Responsibilities
- Providing delegated aspects of patient care
- Performing routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks
