About The Position

The Nursing Assistant is a caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to non-acutely ill patients. Also assists in maintaining patient care areas and equipment clean and organized. Will also perform patient watches. Will not be required to perform phlebotomy and EKG skills

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association only
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Nice To Haves

• At least one-year experience as a Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities

• Answers call lights and assist patients promptly and courteously
• Assists in maintaining all patient care areas, including cleaning and organizing equipment
• Assists with ambulating protocol, techniques and assistive devices, weighing patients, applying flowtron boots, elastic stockings, and transportation to ancillary departments, etc.
• Contributes to the unit's overall patient satisfaction score by doing regular rounding, escalation of complaints and providing service recovery.
• Demonstrates principles of self care and supports colleagues.
