About The Position

About the unit Greenville Emergency Department is a community-based hospital that is part of the Corewell Healthcare System. The Greenville ED is a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IIII Trauma Center. There are over 25 care spaces to treat patients with minor to major medical and traumatic emergencies. Interdisciplinary team members collaborate closely to provide relationship-based care for our patients and their loved ones. Greenville ED has over 29,000 visits/year and ranks highly in patient experience and throughput measures. We value teamwork, culture, and process improvement from each member of our team! You can trust the quality of our care because we’ve earned national recognition from several organizations. Scope of work Patient care role within the emergency department of United Hospital. Nurse Techs work under the direction of an RN to care for our patients. Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Nurse Tech responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed baths, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or ARC is required within 90 days
