About The Position

Nodaway Valley CSD has a current opening for a District Wide School Nurse Substitute starting late December/early January. Requirements: Registered nurse with valid Iowa licensure Current CPR certification Mandatory Reporter Certification Job Description : Maintains accurate and complete health records Instructs staff on plan of care and health needs of students Monitors for outbreaks of infectious and or communicable diseases Works with appropriate public health agencies as necessary Provides emergency care when needed Administers and records the administration of medication Consults with administration, parent/guardian, and school personnel to keep the school informed about pertinent health problems and needs of students Works in collaboration with student's physician to provide medical services for students in the school environment Other duties as assigned. Beginning possibly the month of December Physical Requirements: Bending, carrying, climbing, driving, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking. This may have flexible hours with the right candidate. Applications can be picked up in the Superintendents office or you may apply online.
