About The Position

Adena Health is looking for a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join the Occupational Health team that supports LH Battery employees. Occupational Health includes a wide range of services designed to keep workers healthy and safe at work. We ensure that injured workers return to work safely. Our services include: Drug and alcohol screenings Pre-employment and compliance screenings Workers compensation injury care Various Immunizations and flu shots Pulmonary function testing/spirometry/respirator fit testing/audiograms/vision testing. Primary Care Position Summary for Registered Nurse: The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes to assigned patients. This individual provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other members of the care team to achieve optimal patient care. This incumbent has access to confidential patient information, provides direct patient care, has the authority to make independent decisions and act accordingly within scope of practice, and functions clinically under the direct supervision of the physician. This incumbent also reports to the clinic manager or designee for non-clinical functions.

Requirements

Required Educational Degree: Associate Degree
Major/Area of Concentration: Nursing

Nice To Haves

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists the physician within the RN scope in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient including, but not limited to obtaining history, vital signs, and reason for patient visit; examination of patient; treatment of patient, including assisting with minor surgeries and procedures and administering injections; processing and documenting lab tests ordered by the physician; and notifying patient of pertinent clinical information.
Accurately records patient information in medical record.
Completes referral arrangements and pre-approvals to assure continuity of care and payment for services rendered according to established protocols.
Maintains equipment and supplies in area of responsibility including exam rooms, stock room, and medical inventory for efficiency and ease of care delivery, following established protocol.
Follows established telephone protocols to respond to incoming telephone calls involving triage to provide approved information.
