Nurse Practitioner- Pediatrics Ft Drum, NY Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be at Fort Drum MEDDAC Guthrie Ambulatory Clinic, NY . HCWs shall receive notification two weeks prior to the reassignment to another location with a 40-mile commuting radius of their assigned MTF. HCW’s will not be required to work on federally recognized holidays. New Year’s Day, January 1st Martin Luther King’s Birthday, 3rd Monday in January President’s Day, 3rd Monday in February Memorial Day, Last Monday in May Juneteeth, June 19th Independence Day, July 4th Labor Day, 1st Monday in September Columbus Day, 2nd Monday in October Veteran’s Day, November 11th Thanksgiving Day, 4th Thursday in November Christmas Day, December 25th Any of the above holidays falling on a Saturday will be observed on the preceding Friday, holiday falling on Sunday will be observed the following Monday. Any holidays that are declared by Presidential Executive Order shall be observed in the same manner as the holidays listed above. If the area in which a contract employee is scheduled to work is closed due to the holiday declared by an Executive Order and the employee is not required to report in, payment will not be made for those hours. Closures of the installation due to inclement weather or other such acts of God shall be handled in the same manner. The military may designate a weekday as a training holiday to coincide with a holiday weekend which would create a four-day holiday weekend (e.g. Thanksgiving weekend, Friday is a military training holiday). This may result in the closure of some of the clinics or departments, negating the need for contractor services on such days. Hours of Performance: The performance hours of the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) are as follows: Clinic Duty Hours are 8-hour shifts – 0730 to 1630, which includes a 60-minute unpaid lunch period. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, with the exception of federal holidays. A 60-minute, unpaid lunch break is built in to the existing work schedule. On-Call Hours: N/A Overage Hours: N/A Call-Back Hours: N/A Scheduling: The schedule or scheduling process is as follows: The schedules are coordinated by the Primary Care Clinic Chief and are subject to change based on medical necessity and the scheduling needs of the Primary Care Clinic mission. Once the work schedule is set, no change will be made without notice to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for approval and Contractor concurrence. The Contractor Health Contract Workers (HCWs) will not be allowed to make-up for time not worked. All work performed under this contract will be completed at the MTF. Contractor HCW will not be allowed to telework or take work home. The Contractor working under this contract shall be paid only for the hours worked at the hourly rates established in the contract. The COR will be provided the Contractor HCW’s schedule in advance. Payment to the Contractor will not be made for temporary work stoppage due to circumstances beyond the control of the MTF, such as acts of God, inclement weather, power outages, or temporary closing of facilities. Schedule Management: When directed by the Government, the HCW shall remain on duty to complete patient treatment where lack of continuity of care would otherwise jeopardize patient health. This provision is not intended to apply to the time required to complete routine tasks (e.g., completion of paperwork or routine administrative tasks at the end of a shift) which are to be completed as part of the normal work schedule. Recording HCW Time: Changes to the recording of HCW time identified in the contract PWS are as follows: In addition to the Recording HCW Time process outlined in the Base PWS, the HCW will be required to personally record hours worked in the Defense Medical Human Resources System – internet (DMHRSi) system as required by the MTF. Closures: During a planned closure of the facility due to training, holiday or unplanned closure due to unusual and compelling circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, military emergencies, severe weather), the Contractor will be compensated only for the actual hours the HCW provided services MTF Training: Additional training requirements are as follows: New Employee Orientation (New Comer’s Orientation) All training listed in the Common Federal Training (CFT) List provided by the MTF (i.e. Anti-Terrorism, OPSEC, etc.) All training assigned in the Relias site by the MTF (i.e. Patient Safety, Blood Borne Pathogens, etc.) All mandatory training assigned by the MTF (Monthly Emergency Management Code training, Safety training, etc.) HCW shall complete all required specific training as directed by MTF and DHA Policy and regulations for the same civilian/military of the same qualification standards. Orientation will be scheduled by the COR Training Lists are updated regularly and are subject to change.
