Nurse Practitioner Outpatient
About The Position

The organization is recruiting an Outpatient Nurse Practitioner for its Northwest clinic located at 1130 NW 22nd Ave., Portland, OR 97210. In this role, primary care providers are supported by individually assigned Medical Assistants (MAs) as well as care teams that may include panel coordinators, social workers, RN case managers, behavioral health clinicians, and pharmacy staff. This is a Supportive APP role, where Advanced Practice Providers extend the capacity of primary care providers and improve patient access.
Requirements
- Graduate of Nurse Practitioner program
- Minimum of 2-years’ experience
- Current Oregon NP license w/Prescriptive Privileges
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Helping to manage the Epic In-basket (patient messages, medication management, diagnostic results and orders, and responding to urgent issues)
- Seeing routine follow-up patients which improves access and decompresses the schedules of other providers, allowing them to see more new patients
- Seeing same day urgent care type issues which mitigates disruption to the daily schedule, improves access and patient satisfaction
