About The Position

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center located in beautiful Northeast Florida is actively seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant or to join our distinguished Urology faculty. The NP or PA will serve within the Urologic Oncology service line, providing comprehensive care across the continuum of the patient journey. Responsibilities include managing acute urologic oncology cases, supporting patients during active treatment, and leading long-term surveillance and survivorship follow-up care. Position Overview Responsibilities Include: Patient population : The patient population consists of adults navigating urologic cancers such as prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular malignancies. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients across their cancer journey—from diagnosis and treatment to ongoing surveillance and survivorship. Inpatient care : First-assistant in the OR (robot, laparoscopic, open cases). Rounding on patients in the acute post-operative phase who are admitted to the hospital for surgery Post-operative wound care and pain management Timely collaboration with consulting physicians Coordinating discharges from the hospital Evaluation of new consults. Outpatient Care : Evaluates new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians, as well as a multidisciplinary team, completes outpatient documentation in a timely fashion, and performs clinic procedures as applicable. Hours : Monday – Friday Shared night and weekend call : home call for service during the week, and weekend call with inpatient rounding and OR coverage for emergency cases.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current Florida licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience as a first assist or RNFA preferred
