Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit
About The Position
The Critical Care Independent Multidisciplinary Practice (IMP) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for a position in the Surgical/Trauma Intensive Care Unit, caring for a vast array of general surgical and multi-system trauma patients in the critical care setting. Selected candidates hired into this role will have the opportunity to partner with surgical-critical care-trained intensivists and other multidisciplinary team members. An NP/PA in this area will perform admission history and physicals, daily assessments and notes, ordering and interpreting of tests and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, management of medication regimens, and select bedside procedures based on need and the experience of the provider. Candidates should have a strong desire to care for critically ill patients and ICU experience/exposure, although extensive training and mentoring will be included as part of orientation to this role.
