About The Position

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner – Oncology Job Type: Contract Location: Pagosa Springs, CO Service Setting: Outpatient Infusion and Oncology Clinic Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: February 16, 2026 – Approximately 13 weeks Clinical Shift Schedule: Day shifts, 10 -hour shifts, Monday – Thursday and one Friday per month COVERAGE DATES February 16, 2026 – Approximately May 2026 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult Oncology patients Rounding: Included Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: Oncology and Infusion patients FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 0–49 EMR System: Cerner Office Equipment Available: Standard oncology and infusion clinic equipment Specialty Backup Available: Oncology physicians Support Staff Available: Clinic and infusion nursing staff Reason for Coverage: Contract coverage COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Not covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Oncology patient evaluation and management Infusion patient management Ordering and interpretation of laboratory and imaging studies JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Colorado Nurse Practitioner license Board: ANCC or AANP certification DEA: Active DEA required Certifications: AOCNP certification required Experience: Minimum of 2 years Oncology subspecialty experience Other Qualifications: Experience with Cerner EMR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage Oncology and Infusion patients including examination, treatment, follow -up, and referral Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies Provide consultations and coordinate care plans for Oncology patients Participate in patient satisfaction programs and quality improvement initiatives Support organizational and departmental goals to ensure safe, high -quality patient care

Requirements

  • Active Colorado Nurse Practitioner license
  • ANCC or AANP certification
  • Active DEA required
  • AOCNP certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years Oncology subspecialty experience
  • Experience with Cerner EMR

Responsibilities

  • Manage Oncology and Infusion patients including examination, treatment, follow -up, and referral
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies
  • Provide consultations and coordinate care plans for Oncology patients
  • Participate in patient satisfaction programs and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support organizational and departmental goals to ensure safe, high -quality patient care
