About The Position

As a Staffing Coordinator at the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living, you’ll be responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing coverage and maintaining accurate scheduling and payroll records within the Nursing Department. This is an on-site position where your attention to detail and organizational skills will directly support patient care and team success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal/written instructions in English
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to make independent decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Previous scheduling, payroll, or staffing experience in healthcare preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review time sheets, work schedules, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Compile payroll data, including hours worked, from time sheets and correct errors to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Monitor electronic timekeeping data for errors in staff punches, hours worked, and lunch breaks.
  • Follow up with staff on missing punches and confirm authorized versus unauthorized overtime.
  • Call replacement staff when employees call in sick.
  • Maintain and update Nursing Department staff directory (telephone numbers, addresses, employee status).
  • Track leave time (vacation, PTO, LOA, medical leave, workers’ comp, non-workers’ comp) and ensure it is reflected on daily and monthly schedules.
  • Prepare and update daily and monthly staff schedules for Unit Managers (UMs).
  • Fill shifts for LVNs and CNAs to ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with staff across all levels.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
