Short Description Coordinates care for surgical oncology patients across the treatment continuum, ensuring alignment between surgical oncologists, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and ancillary services to support timely and effective treatment planning. Serves as a primary point of contact for patients and families, guiding them through diagnosis, surgical planning, and post-operative care while facilitating communication among the multidisciplinary oncology team. Facilitates scheduling and preparation for complex oncology care, including diagnostic testing, consultations, tumor board reviews, and surgical procedures to minimize delays in treatment. Provides education and supportive navigation for patients, helping them understand their surgical plan, expected recovery, and available support services while addressing barriers to care and improving the overall patient experience.
