POSITION SUMMARY Position Summary: Responsible for the direction of exceptional psychiatric care throughout psychiatric services through the development and supervision of SRHC psychiatric services staff. This includes evaluating and updating productivity indicators, evaluating program staff, analyzing programs for strengths and improvement areas, evaluating and implementing program capacities, and providing liaison services for community customers including Ft. Riley, law enforcement, and mental health centers. Assists Director in administrative management duties, including payroll processing, while placing an emphasis on excellent clinical outcomes in quality, improving access for clients in the region, and insuring exceptional patient experiences. Maintains visibility to staff and in the community is as well by contributing to a positive regional growth plan including developing current healthcare referral sources. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility through expense control, appropriate staffing, and helping develop new target markets. Helps team members learn the specialty of behavioral health and how to participate in improving patient satisfaction; provides annual competency evaluations; modifies competencies as needed. Works well with other departments and treat them as customers; maintains an excellent relationship with physicians; manages up physician concerns to the Director as well as help problem solve needs for medical staff. Manages the uncertainty and unpredictability present in psychiatric populations for both staff and other departments.
