About The Position

A modern acute care hospital in Loudoun County, VA is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health to lead day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health Nursing Department. This role oversees staffing, workflow, and clinical operations while partnering with House Supervisors and Charge Nurses to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required
  • 2+ years of leadership experience as a Nurse Manager, Supervisor, or Clinical Team Lead
  • Leadership experience must be within a Behavioral Health unit in an acute care setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required within 30 days of hire
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) – Required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the Behavioral Health Nursing Department
  • Ensure appropriate staffing through effective collaboration with House Supervisors and Charge Nurses
  • Support delivery of safe, patient-centered behavioral health services
  • Promote a culture of safety, compassion, and clinical excellence
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes and departmental goals
