About The Position

As Virginia's sole comprehensive Level I trauma center, we are verified in adult, pediatric, and burn trauma care. As a Nurse Extern, you will embark on a transformative journey with the VCU Health team and contribute significantly to patient well-being as well as your continued growth. You will have the opportunity to collaborate under the guidance of a skilled clinical team in both direct and indirect patient care activities. NOTE: This is a temporary, full-time position of 36 hours a week that will run 10 weeks. Please ensure your resume includes the name of your school, the degree you'll be receiving, and the month and year of your anticipated graduation date to avoid delays.
Requirements
- AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
- Completion of the first semester of the junior year in a BSN program or completion of the first year in an ADN program
Nice To Haves
- Acute care experience as a patient care technician or equivalent position.
