About The Position

This position is a casual/PRN role with varied hours per week, focusing on teaching while utilizing adult learning principles. It is a non-union hourly position and reports to the Education Manager.

Requirements

• Currently licensed to practice in the State of Ohio
• BSN required
• Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certification required
• Three years nursing experience required
• Comprehensive current knowledge of nursing and health practices
• Evidence of good communication skills
• Ability to work well one-on one or in groups

Nice To Haves

• BLS AHA Instructor preferred
• ACLS AHA Instructor preferred
• PALS AHA Instructor Preferred
• One year of teach experience preferred
• One year of clinical education experience preferred

Responsibilities

• HealthStream Administrator including EMR/EPIC HealthStream build
• Lead Instructor of Nursing Department Orientation and annual competencies
• Orient new nurses and nursing assistants to policies and operation of the glucometer
• PAPR Instructor – orienting new hires monthly
• Restraint Instructor - orienting new hires monthly
• Provides annual education and competency testing
• Other duties as assigned by Education department i.e. ACLS Instructor, ECG Instructor, POCT Glucometer Instructor, AVADE Instructor & etc.
• All other tasks as assigned
