Scotland Health Care System is a community-owned, not-for-profit organization serving Laurinburg, North Carolina, founded in 1946. Its mission is to deliver safe, high-quality, compassionate, and sustainable health care to everyone in need, offering a full spectrum of services including inpatient, outpatient, emergency care, cancer treatment, cardiac care, surgical services, and women’s health. The culture is built on caring for both patients and employees, believing that exceptional employee care leads to exceptional community care. The organization is transforming from a hospital and provider-centric model to a patient-centered, ambulatory model, focusing on individual patient health and overall population health. This transformation involves creative and innovative changes, better coordination of patient care along the continuum of services, and adapting to new payment models, partners, and consumer expectations for value, convenience, and access. The Clinical Educator PRN designs and implements high-quality educational programs, activities, or projects for staff at all career stages, applying adult learning principles, evidence-based interventions, and regulatory requirements. This role involves evaluating and modifying training curriculum, assisting in competency assessment, supporting various educational offerings, and maintaining documentation. The educator also participates in clinical practice observation, health care system committees, and oversees Organizational Development priorities, serving as an influential leader for interprofessional learning and professional growth.
