About The Position

Seeking House-Wide Clinical Nurse Educator! Baptist Health Floyd, Education and Development Critical Care Experience Required. Part-time (24 Hours Weekly), Days Occasional Evenings and Weekends Required Benefit Eligible Job Duties: The Clinical Nurse Educator implements educational initiatives based on the needs of the organization and will function as a teacher, expert clinician, change agent, mentor, and professional role model. The educator will perform annual assessments of staff learning needs, and plan, implement and evaluate programs based on assessment. The educator will organize and direct new employee orientation in conjunction will unit management. He/she will play a role in performance improvement by assisting in formulation of policies related to care and promoting the integration of evidence-based practice at the bedside. The educator will maintain current knowledge of trends, issues, changes in practice or equipment which may impact positively or negatively on patient/family outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
  • Current Indiana or compact state RN license
  • BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a critical care setting required
  • Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) within 2 years of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree desired
  • Certification in area of specialty desired (CCRN)
