About The Position

The Trainer is responsible for: Overseeing, developing, and implementing competency-based training for all staff working in the MA DOC, medication for addiction treatment (MAT) services. Focusing on training nursing staff in essential clinical skills, including safe medication administration, venipuncture (blood draws) and Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR). Promoting internal and external training opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Working the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization, including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week.

Requirements

Must have a current MA Registered Nurse license and CPR with basic life support certification.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably with populations affected by substance use and/or mental health disorder(s).
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Prior teaching, training or staff development experience highly preferred.
Current CPR/BLS trainer certification and/or prior phlebotomy experience, preferred.
Prior experience in correctional healthcare and/or substance use disorder and mental health treatment including OTP medication administration, preferred.
