About The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, completion and operational integration of new generation and distribution projects into Ameren's energy delivery and generation systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR current/previous RO/SRO licensure is required.
  • Three years relevant project management experience required.
  • Relevant experience includes project management, and/or project lead engineering experience on large and medium complex projects or nuclear operations experience as a licensed RO/SRO.
  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools required.
  • General understanding of generation and distribution systems required.
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting required.
  • May be required to work emergency callouts.
  • Overnight travel within the Ameren territory required.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively with competing priorities and stressful situations required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • RO/SRO license or Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management discipline preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred or must actively pursue PMP certification upon hire.
  • Experience in project management controls area preferred.
  • Project coordination or team leadership experience preferred.
  • SRO License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the project planning process including initiation, design, engineering, material procurement, construction, commissioning, and close out.
  • Manage project implementation including project schedule, project budget and the project resources including external vendors and contractors.
  • Serves as the primary site authority for assigned project personnel and operations staff on major project-related issues.
  • Direct project team and lead the project management process.
  • Responsible for metrics tracking, associated reporting to stakeholders, and compliance with regulatory, corporate and business function procedures during all the phases of the project.
  • Assist in development of, or revision to, function-specific project management policies, procedures, and implementation.
  • Assume Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties in accordance with Callaway Energy Center Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP), including responding to assigned ERO facilities within the required RERP response time.
