About The Position

The Associate Services Summer Intern will participate in a 10-week, hands-on rotational program designed to provide broad exposure to core People-focused functions within Associate Services. This internship offers meaningful experience across multiple departments, allowing the intern to gain insight into how Associate Services operates as a strategic partner to the business while supporting associates throughout their lifecycle. The intern will rotate through several departments including, but not limited to, Recruiting, Human Resources, Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Organizational Development, and Labor Relations. This role is ideal for a highly organized, curious, and motivated student interested in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
  • Strong interest in Human Resources and Associate Services functions
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment

Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured rotations across Associate Services departments, gaining exposure to day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives
  • Support departmental projects and administrative tasks aligned with each functional area
  • Assist with data entry, reporting, and documentation while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
  • Observe and contribute to recruiting, onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, HR systems, and employee relations activities
  • Collaborate with Associate Services partners to support ongoing programs and process improvements
  • Attend scheduled check-ins, training sessions, and professional development opportunities throughout the program
  • Contribute to a final summary or presentation highlighting key learnings and experiences from the internship
